At one of Vietnam's most idyllic seaside resorts, 200 km (124 miles) north of Ho Chi Minh City, the four star Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort & Spa is located beside a vast, palm-fringed private white sand beach on the South China Sea. The resort is close to Phan Thiet, a charming fishing village with archaeological remnants of the Cham Empire, and the beach is backed by desert-like sand dunes that are home to rare flora and fauna. Excursions by jeep is popular with visitors, as is visiting the fishing village and trekking 1, 000 steps to the top of Ta Ku Mountain to admire a giant 49 metres (160 feet) reclining Buddha statue. The resort is found in the Binh Thuan Province off the coasts of South China Sea. Surrounding the area are different points of interest like the colourful Phan Thiet Market Place, which is 9 kilometres away, the best place for bargain and souvenir shopping. Hom Ron, which is famous for its white sand beaches can be reached in 12 kilometres from the resort while Mui Ne, the fishing village, is 13 kilometres from the hotel. Golfers will be interested in visiting the Ocean Dunes Golf Club, which is very near the resort. For the guests who will come from Ho Chi Minh City, the resort can be reached in 3 hours by a private vehicle..
