This trip, which takes you through the mountainous regions of northern Laos for a truly unique experience to come face to face with ethnic minority hill trebles. We will take you to distant hill tribe’s villages and see cottage industries and bartering in local markets. Primal rainforests, waterfalls, unusual rock formations and worshiping stones are just some of the scenic wonders waiting to be discovered. Included with your package is five days in Luang Prabang – enough time to appreciate the charm and tranquility of this hillside setting. Other highlights include Vientiane, Pakse and the ancient Khmer Temple of Wat Phou.

Day 1: Arrival Vientiane (by air & road)(L/D)
 Arrival Vientiane, welcome and transfer to downtown for hotel check-in. Afternoon sightseeing Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Visit HoPraKeo, the Former Royal temple, transformed to the Museum. Visit wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in Vientiane. Visit That Luang stupa the national monument and very important, symbolize both the Buddhist and the sovereignty of Lao Kingdom. Visit the Patuxay, Arc De Triomphe. Overnight in Vientiane |

Day 2: Vientiane – Nam Ngum(road & boat) (B/L/D)
 Drive to Nam Ngum Lake (~ 80 km). On the way visit the salt distillation by traditional method at Ban Keun. Arrival Nam Ngum Lake, boat trip for one hour, exploring the beautiful Islands. Return to Vientiane on the way visit the archeological site of Vangxang and the Hmong market at km 52. Overnight in Vientiane |

Day 3: Vientiane – Vang Vieng (road) (B/L/D)
Drive to Vang Vieng (~150 km) on the national road No. 13, visit to the caves Tam Chang and the villages in the other side of the Nam Song River. Visit the temples, overnight in the best available Nam Song hotel or similar in Vang Vieng. |

Day 4: Vang Vieng – Luang Prabang (road) (B/L/D)
Continue driving to Luang Prabang (~250 km), the world heritage city. Along the road visit the minority villages of Hmong, Kmu at Sala PhouKhoune, Kiew Kajamb. Arrival Luang Prabang, visit wat Mai and the Mont Phousi located in the center of the city, the sunset and the beautiful view of the city. Overnight in Luang Prabang |

Day 5: Luang Prabang (road) (B/L/D)
Sightseeing Luang Prabang, visit the Museum housed in the Former Royal Palace, visit wat Xieng Thong, the Royal temple the most beautiful in Luang Prabang. Visit wat Sene, wat Visounnalat, wat Ho Xieng, wat Phoutthabath Tai. Overnight in Luang Prabang |

Day 6: Luang Prabang (road & boat) (B/L/D)
Cruise on the Mekong River to Pak Ou, the influence between the Mekong and the Nam Ou River. Visit the caves and the rice wine fermented village at Ban Sang Hai. Return to Luang Prabang visit the weaving village at Ban Phanom, the handicraft of Posa paper at Ban Sang Khong. Overnight in Luang Prabang |

Day 7: Luang Prabang (road) (B/L/D)
Transfer to Ban Long Lao, the Hmong village. Full day trek through the rice field, the forest, visit the Kuangsi waterfall and the village surrounding. After visit, transfer back to hotel |

Day 8: Luang Prabang (road) (B/L/D)
Trekking on the other side of the Mekong at Ban Chiang Men, visit wat Long Khoune, trek to Ban Chane, the pottery village, and visit the caves. Return to hotel for the night |

Day 9: Luang Prabang – Xieng Khouang (by air & road) (B/L/D)
Transfer to airport for flight to Xieng Thong, upon arrival, visits the Plain of Jars No. 1 in Phonsavanh. Overnight Phonsavanh at Phou Pa Deng hotel or similar |

Day 10: Xieng Khoang (road) (B/L/D)
Visit the Plain of Jars No.2 at Salato and No.3 at Lat Kai and visit Muang Khoune, the former capital of Xieng Khouang province, Wat Phiawat and That Foun stupa. Overnight Phou Pa Deng hotel or similar |

Day 11: Xieng Khouang – Sam Neua (road) (B/L/D)
Drive Sam Neua (~250 km). On the way visit the cave Tam Piou, the Hmong villages along the road. Overnight in the best available guesthouse |

Day 12: Sam Neua – Vieng Xay (Road) (B/L/D)
Drive to Vieng Xay (~60 km), the former head quarter of Lao Revolutionary. Visit the caves of Lao leaders during American war. Return to SamNeua, overnight in the best available guesthouse |

Day 13: Sam Neua – Vientiane (by air & road) (B)
Flight back to Vientiane, meet and transferred to hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure or go shopping. Overnight in Vientiane |

Day 14: Departure (by air)(B)
In the morning, we are on a boat trip to Great Lake Tonle Sap that is renowned for its basin of fresh water fish (10 tons/ 1Square Km in the 60’s). Visitors may also view the fresh water exhibition where we can see various kinds of fish in Tonlesap Lake. We then continue to Les Artisans d’Angkor -Chantiers Ecole where visitors can observe artisans making high quality wood and stone carvings from scratch to end-product. Then we will enjoy the leisure time until the flight departure. End of services. |
